Another strong weekend for Rapattack and Dave. we came close to winning a few wheelie contests but the big news was the first freestyle mania racing win. the season keeps rolling along in memphis this weekend. - Raliegh 1-22-2010
Wow another great weekend for Dave and RapAttack. Once again Dave had the pedal to the metal and earned a wheelie win on friday night. the train kept rolling on saturday night with a second place finish in wheelie and freestyle. So far this is shaping up to be a great season. impresive wins and dominating wheelies and freestyle runs are earning Dave and RapAttack much deserved attention. Hopefully the World finals is watching and taking notice of the RapAttack this year. - Milwaukee 1-14-2010
Look out Wi here comes the Rap Attack!!! we are looking to roll into your state and get the destruction party started. Are you ready? Dave and Rap Attack are ready. come out friday or saturday and and watch 10000 lb monsters make cars splat like playdough.
RapAttack and Dave had a great set of shows for the fans this weekend in Milwaukee. things got off to a good start with a third place finish in the wheelie competition on friday night but Dave was just getting warmed up. during the freestyle portion of the evening Dave had RapAttack firing on all cylinders and bashed and crushed to a freestyle win friday night. the first of the season. couple that with a second place in the wheelie comp on saturday night and it was a great weekend. See you in Raliegh next weekend - Columbus 1-08-2010
not a bad first show of the new freestyle tour. we have some work to do on the turns as they all appeared very tight and it was hard to get a rythm going. other than that everything appeared to turn out ok. we had some mechanical issues that kept us out saturday afternoon but other than that nothing major to report with the truck. We were able to get the first wheelie win of the season on saturday night Dave feels good about that. we will see everyone in milwaukee. - Columbus 1-07-2010

I will be getting to the arena tomorrow morning and getting ready for car crushing freestlye smashing mania. if you live in or near columbus come on down to nationwide arena this weekend and check it out. - Dayton 3-20-09
What a fun end to the winter season. Dave and Rap Attack were in Saginaw two weekends ago and had a decent weekend. Dave had a week off to get ready for the final shows and it started off with smooth sailing.
Before I go any further I just want to stop and say thank you to all the drivers who came to the Dayton VA hospital. The drivers came out and spent a few hours with the veterans before the show Friday night. So i set up an event to come to the hospital before the show as that is where my real job is located. I had Stephanie C. from www.avengerracing.com come out and take pictures of the event for me. Thanks Steph!!
The Veterans loved it and had a blast getting to meet the superstars of monster jam. I would like to take a few lines and call the drivers out by name because they didn't have to give up their Friday afternoon but did so anyway. Anywhere you go see these trucks and drivers tell them thank you for doing their part to help our returning heroes.
Dave Rappach - Rap Attack
Jim Koehler - Avenger
Chris Bergeron - Brutus
Mike Vaters - Black Stallion
Trey Myers - Iron Warrior
Ed Eckert - Fullboar
With that said the hospital did an awesome thing. they gave each of the drivers a sticker to place on their trucks. when you see these trucks in the future they will have the Dayton VA logo on them.
When Stephanie gets back from the world finals she will send me the pics and i will put them up. Again I want to say thank you to each drivers for coming.
OK back to the Jam
On Friday night we didn't win any events but we were real close in wheelie and freestyle. Dave was on fire in the freestyle and had a nice rhythm going and big air off the stacks. alas it was not to be but we had only minor breakage of a retaining chain on the rear axle. This is where everything went south for us.
Saturday morning we got the Rap Attack shined up for the pit party and had a good time. the new neon green rapattackracing.com lettering on the windshield looked awesome and the Dayton VA sticker was on the driver side rear quarter panel.
I had a good feeling going into the wheelie competition and I felt like maybe Dave would push it a little to try and get the win. He hit the stacks and launched into a huge Sky Wheelie. He landed on the back tires and walked it to the end of the stack. the crowd went absolutely wild but as Rap Attack got to the end of the stack the last car's trunk caved in throwing everything off balance. Dave struggled to get control but it was too late. standing on the arena floor it was as if Rapattack threw itself on the ground. It was a hard hit and although the crowd loved it I was a bit worried for Dave.
Being new in the pits I wasn't sure what to do but I went out and picked up as many pieces as I could and watched like everyone else as the track crew drug the truck around for a while before getting her upright again.
we were going to be out of the rest of the afternoon show but I was just glad Dave was ok. After the show Dave went to sign autographs and I got my first look at the damage. The right bedside was beaten to a pulp and hanging on by a thread. the driver side front rim was bent from slamming the floor and the cab had a little more damage than we came in with. the two biggest pieces of damage were that the batteries were ripped out (yes it hit hard enough to rip them out) and the front driver side steering ram was pulled from its tube.
Jim Koehler stopped by and gave us some hints on getting the ram back together and then myself and the other pit crew person went to work. We had some help from Jeff from avenger racing to work on the steering ram. we got the batteries all back together and we got the ram screwed back in but when Dave tested it the tube pulled right back out. the tube or the cap had been stripped. We borrowed a ram from the Vaters crew and got it back together just in time for the night show.
we started the night show with a borrowed ram no bedside and a tailgate barely hanging on but at least we were able to stay in it. Dave went out for the wheelie contest and did another Sky wheelie but when he came back to the pits the borrowed ram had pulled apart and was leaking fluid. we couldn't catch a break.
Dave and the crew worked on the ram and I got to go out on the floor and talk to the crowd about the trip to the VA. pretty cool but I was hoping that it gave Dave enough time to get the ram back together. we didn't get it back together in time for racing but we sent him out to do doughnuts and thankfully it all held together.
Dave went out for the freestyle and put on a good show but got shut down because the tailgate (which by now we had duct taped on)was flailing about.
It was another good experience for me as I learned a lot more about the truck and we were even able to get the transports on without major issues. we said goodbye to everyone and wished the boys going to Vegas luck and with that our winter season was over.
Dave and Rapattackracing.com would like to thank everyone for a great winter season. Thank you to all the fans who came out and cheered for Dave and spent time with him in the pit parties. Thank you to the other teams for a great season of racing and crushing. We will be out on the summer tour hopefully so check back to see if we will be at an event near you. please contact the webmaster if you would like to have Rap Attack come to your event. contact us early to make sure we are not booked on your weekend.

Sorry I have not updated in a few weeks. Rap Attack had an off week then headed to Cleveland where some mechanical issues kept him out of action but still put in some respectable runs. that brings us Providence RI. Here is a summary from the road team on what happened.
As you can see (sic)in the photo gallery the Rhode Island show was a tough weekend for the Rap Attack Monster Truck and its crew! Friday nights show went off without a hitch. The first show on Saturday there was a two hit wheelie contest (one hit off each stack of cars). Dave lined up to the cars and did a great wheelie...as he landed the rear end of the truck was a bit to far forward. this caused a four link bar bolt to break... which as you can see makes everything else shift too! The entire rear end was broken free of the chassis. Dave, his brother and some family members that had come down from Maine to see the show were able to get the Rap Attack repaired again in time for the Sunday show. They had run out of time to make it back for Saturday night. Sundays show went ok to start...again two great wheelies. After completing round one of racing Dave noticed that there was some chassis damage most likely caused by the wheelie a few minutes before... this putt Rap Attack out for the remainder of the show.
Thanks to Cori and the rest of the road warriors for the update!!
Dave and Rap Attack will be in Saginaw Mi this weekend so if this is your neck of the woods buy a ticket. After that Rap Attack will be home for a weekend and then to Dayton Ohio to finish the winter season. - Albany NY 1-31-09
Things got better for Rapattack this weekend in Albany New York. Dave was able to win the wheelie competition in the early session of action. He was facing tough competition from Raminator, Ramunition, Black Stallion, Thrasher, and Iron Warrior. It was a good start to the weekend and it was about to get better. For the evening show Dave had Rapattack and the fans all jacked up as he was able to stand it on the tailgate and walk across the arena for a second wheelie win of the day. As if that wasn't enough Rapattack was able to win the racing event as well. "we had a good weekend and it felt good to do so well. there was no damage to the truck and we are getting ready to head back to New York this weekend" was the word from Dave this afternoon. Rapattack will be in Uniondale NY this weekend so if you are in the area stop by. as always if you have any pictures of this event or future events send them in.

Things didn't go as planned for Rapattack at the indy show but it was a great weekend none the less. The webmaster was able to travel to the show and participate as a crew member. All I can say is I am tired. Being there and going through everything the drivers and crew experience was a blast but it is a ton of work to get ready for and participate in a jam. I am sore and I didn't get home until almost 4 am. the drivers start the day by having a 5 hour long autograph session. Dave's hand has to hurt after doing that. You can tell he loves being there for the kids and most drivers cite that as the number one reason for being there, the kids. as for the jam Dave had a bit of trouble coming off one of the turns in qualifying but made a sweet save to keep Rapattack off its lid. by the time he got it corrected it left him with a slow qualifying time. this meant he had to face the fastest truck of the day which was Max-D. Rapattack and Max-D had a small scuffle at the start finish line with each driver climbing a wheel on top of each other but when the race started Max-D sent Rapattack back to the pits to wait for freestyle.
Freestyle
Rapattack and the crowd were pumped for freestyle but alas it was not to be. Rapattack hit a set of cars early in the run and pointed the nose to the top of the dome with an awesome wheelie but when he came down the right front tire blew and ended the night for Rapattack.
